We realize you might have some questions about our service and so we have provided this page to at least give you a starting point in finding some answers. Over the years, we have had clients ask a variety of questions and some of them we have heard more than once. We have compiled a number of these and listed them out below along with our answers. We realize that you may still have a question that you do not see here and if that is the case, please contact our well trained customer service staff. They will not only treat you with respect, but they also love talking about all things party bus and should be able to answer any other questions you have. We want you to be an informed customer so please do not hesitate to start a conversation with us.
How far can we go?
That's an easy one. You have unlimited miles during your rental of the party bus providing you have the same pickup and drop off location. Portland Party Bus is not in the business of dictating our guest's runs, we just want to assure you that you will not be left stranded but will end up safely back home.
Can we drink aboard a vehicle?
Absolutely! As long as everybody is of legal drinking age or older, we want you to be able to enjoy yourself and if alcohol is involved, then so be it. It's your night, not ours. Enjoy.
Will I be charged differently if I change my itinerary without notice?
Absolutely not! You have our service for the allocated time that you booked it regardless of where you go. That said, it is helpful for our drivers to know where they are going with as much notice as possible so they can pre-program their GPS and ensure that they can get you to where you're going.
What are your hours?
Our customer service agents are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We always have somebody on stand by to answer your questions, help with any issues, or to book your run. You can also e-mail us at any time. Our office is only open during regular business hours so be sure to call before stopping in.
How can I tell if the vehicle I want is available?
All you have to do is give us a call. Every person requires a different type of vehicle so don't assume yours is going to be all booked up for your date. Give us a call and our reservation specialist will be able to assist you in telling you what vehicles are available for you.
How much will one of your party buses cost?
The answer to that question depends on a number of different factors. The cost of a vehicle depends on the date and time of service, location of pick-up, the size vehicle that you rent and how long you rent it for. So, once you have all of this information, contact one of our customer service representatives and they will gladly provide you with a quote for the party bus that best fits you.
What can I expect to experience while on one of your party buses?
More than you ever imagined. We had entertainment in mind when we installed all of the amazing features that will be available to you. It all starts with the granite topped bar areas with built-in coolers of ice which means that you will be able to have your favorite libations while traveling. After that, feel free to play with the concert quality sound system with CD/iPod/MP3 inputs, high definition flat screens with DVD capabilities, luxurious wrap around seating, exotic dance floor with dancing pole and LED color changing lights all over the place. There is a reason our vehicles have been dubbed a party of wheels.
When do you recommend that I reserve the vehicle I am interested in?
As soon as you know the pertinent information like when you need it, where you will be picked up and dropped off and how many people will be joining you. Keep in mind that our service is growing in popularity and you want to get your reservation in before someone else beats you to it.
Is there a big difference between a party bus and a limousine?
Yes, our Portland limousines are the traditional long vehicle you have been used to seeing for years. It is usually white or black and it has a classy look that is used a lot for weddings. A party bus is much larger and higher and will allow you and your party to stand up and move around. It also has a lot of features that provide entertainment value while you are touring around.
What kind of discounts do you offer?
Discounts are reserved for returning customers. But we promise you that are prices are highly competitive and once you experience one of our party buses you will understand the value that we provide. It is important to note that the price we quote you will be your bottom line price. We do not believe in hidden fees like many companies will hit you with and our drivers are paid by the hour so there is no required gratuity. Basically, we believe in treating you like we would want to be treated.
Is it alright to smoke on your vehicles?
No, it is our goal to provide a clean and fresh interior to all of our customers so we do not allow smoking. We do allow unlimited stops so if someone in your party would like to take a smoke break or a break for any reason, just mention it to your driver.
What is the best way to determine which of your party buses will fit my group the best?
A good first step would be to call our friendly customer service center. Our agents know everything there is to know about party buses and they will ask you a few questions which will help them to match you to the perfect vehicle for your event.
Who provides the alcohol for the built-in coolers on the bus?
We cannot by law provide our customers with alcohol. You, however, can bring on anything and everything that you and your party have a taste for. And we even provide you with built-in cup holders and ice to help the process of enjoying your favorite libations along.
What does it take to reserve one of your vehicles?
We do require a deposit to reserve one of our vehicles. The amount can vary depending on when and what you are renting. Our customer service staff will be able to explain what kind of deposit will be needed.
Do you have bathrooms on our party buses?
No, we have chosen not to in order to keep the interiors of our party buses as pristine and fresh smelling as possible. We will however make as many comfort stops as you deem necessary.
Do you require an itinerary?
It is helpful. We won't deny you service without one but it would help your driver.
How forms of payment do you accept?
We try to be flexible in terms of payment so we accept traveller's checks, credit or debit cards or cash to the driver on the date of service.
What if we have a winter event planned, are you still providing service at that time of year?
Yes, absolutely. We are available to provide service 24/7, 365 days a year.
Do you allow food on your party buses?
Yes, we realize that some goodies is just the ticket when you are out for a good time with friends so feel free to bring anything you have a hankering for on board. All we ask is that you do reasonable clean up when you are done.
Will our driver expect a tip at the end of the run?
No, not at all. The price you paid was your bottom line price and it included everything. If you receive service that you believe is exceptional and you would like to tip, that would be completely up to you. But it is in no way expected or required.
Are there any hidden fees I should be aware of?
No, we are repulsed by the practice and you can count on us to be up front with you about everything.
Can we bring our own music and DVDs?
Absolutely, we have installed a premium quality sound system which has iPod/MP3/CD inputs as well as high definition flat screens with DVD capabilities for your enjoyment.
Can we go over the time that we originally rented our party bus for and stay on for an extra hour or more?
Yes, as long as the party bus doesn't have to get back to head out on another run, you can continue the good times at your hourly rate that you have already paid.
